Introducing ElectricFlow Community Edition

We are thrilled to announce that we’ve made ElectricFlow DevOps Release Automation Suite free for everyone. The Community Edition provides full product functionality with deployment to 10 servers and 3 applications.  You can download it here.

Fueled by the DevOps movement, there is a big surge in demand to automate application release processes. The problem of deploying multi-tier applications to various environments is getting lot of traction. That problem is faced across the board – whether you are in IT Operations responsible for the ‘game day’ production deployments or in Quality Engineering deploying to ‘test’ environments or in Development deploying to development environments. With our community edition, we make our ‘model-driven’ approach to application deployments – which frees you from the world of brittle scripts and risky manual deployments – available to everyone.

It is possible to get lost in the noisy DevOps market. You can get free CI tools like Jenkins or Configuration Management tools like Chef to solve aspects of this problem. While these tools are great at what they are meant for, they aren’t a good fit for deploying multi-tier applications. Such real life complex deployments require modeling and orchestration. In short there is a need for a purpose-built Deployment Automation product like ElectricFlow. This view is shared by leading industry analysts like Gartner and Forrester as well.

Check out this short video for a quick product tour of ElectricFlow:

ElectricFlow Community Edition is delivered as a virtual appliance making installation a breeze and has the full functionality of our award winning Enterprise version of ElectricFlow, except for the clustered high availability configuration. You can use the community edition to deploy up to 10 deployment targets and 3 applications.  If you need help, you can use our help center or email

You can get a lot more information on how to get started here . While the product is capable of handling many other use cases, the on-boarding material is geared towards the Deployment Automation scenario. But by all means, feel free to explore and color outside the lines :).

What’s the wait then? Community edition of ElectricFlow is one click away – Download now and use it free!

  1. Steve Turner says:

10 host and 3 applications are fine for an evaluation system but unusable for an enterprise level CD system, especially supporting a micro-service architecture.

How much is the unrestricted version?
